Good morning,

I'm willing to bet that for at least the last week you have been feeling a little off kilter.

Sure, there are moments of intense fear, overwhelm, and anxiety, but I'm guessing that isn't how you feel all the time.

Instead, there is a low grade feeling of general ickiness hanging out in the background. Not something that you put your finger on, even when you are giving it your full attention.

Without realizing it, you are probably experiencing grief.

Grief is an obvious emotion when a loved one dies, or when an important relationship or job ends. What we are less good at is recognizing grief for much smaller losses.

Right now we are experiencing so much loss. We are missing:

  • Daily routine
  • Seeing the people we love
  • Doing our jobs
  • Physical touch
  • Education and classes
  • Working out
  • Being social
  • Standing next to someone in public
  • Any kind of certainty

I could go on and on and I'm sure you could come up with a dozen more things you are missing.

It is important to acknowledge and process the grief we are all experiencing.

Last year I interviewed Lynne Staley, an expert on grief, about how we can identify what we are grieving and how deep that grief is.

You can find the interview here: http://tappingqanda.com/363

I have also added a new tap-along audio and tapping script for dealing with the grief we are feeling at this time. I encourage you to tap on this at least once a day for the next few days.

You can find the audio and script here: http://tappingqanda.com/444

Please let me know how this works for you,

Gene
