TappingQandA

Good Morning!

Recently I have been spending a lot of time thinking how best to use tapping.

And by this I don't mean focusing on the best or quickest way to find relief, but instead on the outcomes I desire from the tapping I am doing.

I think this is easiest to understand through some examples.

Tapping For Relief: When I checked my mailbox on Sunday I found a very distressing letter that I could not respond to until Monday morning. My anxiety was so great I was having a hard time getting to sleep on Sunday night.

I spent a great deal of time tapping to calm myself down and to recognize that the situation wasn't nearly as bad as my emotional response suggested. I was then able to get myself calmly to sleep.

Tapping For Action: On Tuesday I was worried about some of the phone calls I needed to make. I could easily have tapped to the point where I didn't feel worried but if I had done that I would just have felt better and not particularly motivated to make the calls.

So instead of tapping just to alleviate the discomfort, I also tapped in a way that got me excited about the outcomes of the calls. I didn't just feel better, I felt compelled to take the action I needed to take.

Knowing What To Tap On: Both of these outcomes were perfect for what I wanted to achieve.

In order to see the result we would like from tapping we need to tap on the right things. This week I have a tool which will help you to do just that.

Linda Wood has developed something she calls the Duality-Balancing Tapping Technique which allows you to approach an issue from multiple directions to ensure you achieve the outcome you want from tapping.

Listen to Linda explain her wonderful technique here: http://tappingqanda.com/?p=9837

I love this easy and practical approach, let me know how it works for you!
