Good morning!
On Monday morning I was working my way through all the blogs I like to read. One of them had a really fun cover version by Kate Davis of "All About That Bass".
I searched her name and lo and behold she was playing that very night in NYC for only $10!
My sister was in town and we thought it would be a fun night out.
We arrived at the venue early and sat down at a table right next to the stage.
Kate was a delight. She obviously still wasn't totally comfortable on stage, but her nerves made her even more charming.
It was a perfect night. I was with people I love, we had an amazing dinner before the performance, and I was getting to do something that was perfectly New York.
About half way through Kate's set two latecomers asked if they could share our table.
"Of course!" we said.
I made eye contact with one of the women who had just sat down and she reminded me so strongly of someone from my past that all of a sudden I was overcome with emotion.
And then a moment later I was filled with shame and disappointment because the issue that chance encounter brought up was something I thought I had dealt with for good.
I thought I was over the issue. I thought I had healed it. BUT I WAS WRONG.
It can be a painful blow to realize that the progress we thought we had made was only part of the healing needed on a certain issue.
Today's tap-along audio deals with those times when you find yourself working on an issue that you thought you'd already resolved.
Listen (and tap-along) here: http://tappingqanda.com/?p=9957
The tapping is a little raw because it is something I recorded in the moment as I was dealing with it myself.
I hope you find it useful.
As always, let me know how I can be helpful,
Gene
When You Feel Like You Are Backsliding On An Issue - Sometimes we discover that an issue we have worked on has not been resolved after all. The realization that we are not done with something can be as emotional as the issue itself. In this audio we tap for times when that happens.
