Good Morning!
It’s no exaggeration to say that the majority of my clients struggle with their tendency towards perfectionism.
The urge to be ‘perfect’ or to take perfect action comes in many different flavors but it almost always results in inaction. Waiting for exactly the right circumstances (which never ever arrive!) can be a way of keeping ourselves safe from the unknown.
I can totally sympathize with this way of thinking. If I can’t take the perfect action, why take action at all?
But there are two problems with this approach.
First, things don't have to be perfect in order for us to be successful so we end up wasting time and effort getting things to an unnecessary level of perfection. Second, we end up missing lots of opportunities because we aren't taking action quickly (or at all).
The second one is the real problem because every moment we don't make a choice we are really making the choice to do nothing. Not only are we not moving forward, but the opportunities we pass up are lost forever.
Today’s audio explores the idea of choosing to take action, choosing not to take action, and the best way to use choice to move forward.
If you feel like you are stuck in a rut and not doing what you need to do then you need to listen to this audio!
You can find it right here: http://tappingqanda.com/?p=9865
I would love to hear your thoughts on the ideas in the audio.
Let me know your response or how I can be helpful by replying to this note.
