Good morning!
This week's article is a little different.
It came about because of a couple of things happening at once.
First, I received an email from a reader asking for help with always starting new self-help programs and never finishing anything. Second, I had a conversation with a good friend about all the huge promises of the self-help industry.
I find myself in a odd place. On one hand I make my living by creating products and services. I sell these things by sending you emails just like this one. On the other hand there are things about the self-help industry that make me shake my head.
With all those thoughts spinning in my head I ended up writing about how we can all be good consumers of self-help products. I have even created a tapping script which will help you to not give into hypey promises and make better buying choices.
Even if that means you don't buy something from me in the future.
You can read my thoughts here: http://tappingqanda.com/?p=9991
I would love to hear your thoughts on the articles in the comment section because this is an issue that is still swirling around in my head.
In addition to that I have a really interesting interview with Elham Kashefi. Elham has created a new organization that is helping people regain control of their health from both a preventive and a responsive care perspective.
This is an important conversation for anybody serious about their health.

As always, let me know what I can do to be helpful.

PS: Looking for EFT events where you can learn useful tools, hang out with other like-minded people, and have an all round good time? I will be speaking at the EFT Gathering January 24th and 25th in York, UK and at the Spring Energy Event just outside New York City, April 17th - 19th.
They are both great events! I would love to see you at one of them.
Why Self-Help Gurus Might Be Bad For Us - Having access to tools and resources from people who are skilled at change work is a great thing but access alone doesn't guarantee us results. Here are my thoughts on how to respond to the next 'greatest and best' product to change your life.
Comprehensive Approach To Health /w Elham Kashefi - We are lucky to live in a time of so many medical advances but navigating the healthcare system can be a harrowing process. Elham Kashefi shares her experience of watching her friend Tara use the system while battling cancer. Based on this she is creating an awesome resource that will make it easier for those who face that same challenge.
