Good Morning,
Over the last few months I have been giving a lot of thought to the way we form and change our habits.
This has come up because there were some habits in my life that I was able to change very easily and there were also a few that I just could not get to budge in any meaningful way.
I would have some short-term success, but no matter what I tried, no matter what I tapped on, they remained stuck.
Over time I came to realize that the issue wasn't the habit, but what the habit was rooted in.
When we are trying to make long-term, lasting change we need to approach the change on a number of levels.
This week I have an interview I did with my friend Adele Wang. She wanted to pick my brain about the connections and disconnections between our actions and our identity.
In the conversation we get into why we need to look at issues from the perspective of action, belief and identity.
We also talk about how to tap specifically for each of those three angles.
