Good afternoon,
Let me tell you about the moment I truly bought into believing in EFT...
It was Thanksgiving of 2006. My whole family had traveled to Portland, OR to spend the holiday with my sister. I was sleeping on a couch in her office and I woke up in the middle of the night with a piercing headache.
I don't usually suffer from migraines so I wasn’t familiar with that type of pain. It felt like a knife was being pushed through my skull! I didn't have any medicine in my travel bag and I didn’t want to wake my sister by scrabbling through the medicine cabinet in her en-suite bathroom.
As I was lying there in pain the idea of this tapping thing came to mind. At that point I knew a little about tapping, but hadn't done much with it. I was desperate so I thought I would give it a try.
Just a few rounds of tapping later I was pain free. Within three minutes I was asleep.
I woke up the next morning feeling amazed at what had happened and with a new desire to learn as much as I could about tapping.
Tapping is an amazing tool for pain, but the problem most people run into is that they think all pain should be approached the same way.
In reality there are two types of physical pain, each with a different tapping approach
This week I interview Dan Cleary, a pain specialist, about the different types of pain and how we can work on both of them with tapping. Not only has Dan been helping clients for over 30 years, he has also had to deal with his own crippling pain daily since a motorcycle accident in the 1980s.
He has an amazing perspective and two practical approaches to pain.
