Good morning,
There are times where I am not very kind to myself. It doesn't happen often, but sometimes I can really beat myself up.
This doesn't happen when I have tried something and failed. For some reason I am able to be gentle with myself in those times.
I am hard on myself when I know what I want, know how to do it, know how valuable it is, and yet I still don't take action. I would be mortified if anyone were able to hear my thoughts as I give myself a tongue lashing.
When we know the right action to take and still don't do it, our emotions can get the better of us.
This week I have a conversation with Dawson Church to share with you where we talk about the evolutionary reason behind why we fail to take action, even when we know what is best for us. We also talk about how you can use tapping move past this.
In short, we talk about how you can take the actions you want to take and get more done.
This is one of my favorite topics.

When we finished the conversation Dawson said, "Wow, we talked about a number of topics I didn't expect and that was great."
It is fun and useful conversation with easy steps you can use immediately.

One of the main reasons we don't take action like I have described above is because somewhere in our subconscious we hold the belief that we must do something perfectly or we shouldn't do it at all.
This is obviously an emotional overstatement but it is a common issue. If perfectionism is preventing you from taking action I have two tapping scripts that you can use right now.

Using EFT To Increase Your Productivity w/ Dawson Church – Our evolutionary heritage is to be predisposed to fear. This fear is good at keeping us alive when facing real danger, and bad when it prevents from taking the action we want when there isn't an actual life or death situation. In this conversation Dawson Church and I talk about how we can use tapping to overcome these fears.
