Good morning,
I take a great deal of pride in being a connector. Sometimes I am connecting people to a resource they might find helpful, at other times I am introducing them to people who will help them to move forward.
I love doing this.
Anytime I can make someone's life easier, better, or more fun, I will do it.
In the past month I helped out two different people, I’ll call them "Bill" and "John". I am going to keep the details vague to protect everyone involved.
I made sure Bill was connected to a resource that I thought would accelerate his learning process.
John, on the other hand, was publicly feuding with someone I’ll call "Joel". Both John and Joel hold prominent public positions. They both have sway in their industry. It would be better for everyone in the industry, not just the two of them, if they were at least cordial with one another.
In reaching out to both Joel and John, I was able to arrange a face-to-face meeting between the two of them.
Both scenarios turned out well. Bill learned way more that he had hoped. Even though Joel and John may not be sending each other Christmas cards, they had a super productive conversation.
I was thrilled.
Both Bill and John have podcasts. Both Bill and John talked about what I helped them with and how good it was on their podcasts.
Neither of them gave me credit.
AND I was soooooooooooooooooo bitter!!!
AND I was really surprised by the strength of my own reaction.
When I reached out I had no other motive than making their lives better. When reaching out I was not looking for credit. I simply saw a place where I could help and so I did.
I don't know which emotion was stronger. The bitterness for the lack of credit or the embarrassment that I felt so bitter.
Once I was in touch with the bitterness and the embarrassment I sat down at my computer, hit record, and started tapping.
I am sharing that tapping audio with you. I edited it slightly for clarity, but you get exactly what I was feeling and I how I tapped for it.
This will be useful if:
- You have some bitterness you want to work through.
- You want to learn from the way I tap for an issue.
You can find the full audio here: http://tappingqanda.com/?p=11765
Let me know if you find these types of audios useful. Of course I will continue to tap, but I will only share the recordings of the tapping with you if want them.
Have a great day,
Gene
PS: Next month I am going to record a podcast in which I answer your questions. You can send me an email or leave a voicemail with a question by clicking here: http//tappingqanda.com/ask
