Good morning,
One of the changes that Facebook has made to its layout is the addition of a "People You May Know" section as you scroll through your feed. Occasionally I look through this list just to see who is there.
As I was doing this last Saturday morning I had a real shock.
I was scrolling through the photos and there were a number of faces that I vaguely recognized, but I wasn't sure exactly why. I started clicking on the profiles and quickly realized who these people were.
They are all women with whom I had connected on a dating app more than 18 months ago. (This particular app required you to sign in with Facebook.)
As I moved from profile to profile I experienced a flood of emotion. Some of it was disappointment because of the ways those connections didn't work out. Some of it was embarrassment because of ways I had behaved.
The avalanche of emotions was unexpected and unwelcome.
So I opened my recording software, hit record, and started tapping.
The tapping session isn't about being haunted by an online dating app, but instead I tapped for feeling stuck because of past choices.
I found this tapping session powerful and I am sure it will be the same for you.
Stop being a prisoner to your past and tap along here: http://tappingqanda.com/?p=11774
Just like last week, please let me know if you found this helpful. I am not going to share my personal tapping every week, but if it is something that is useful to you I will keep doing it from time to time.
Blessings,
Gene
PS: Remember, I am doing an all question and answer podcast in August where I answer your questions. I need your questions! I will also provide a transcript of the audio. Ask your questions right here: http://tappingqanda.com/ask/
