Good morning,
One of the biggest challenges in doing work on our emotional lives is being able to measure our results.
When I lose weight, I can measure the pounds. When I get stronger, I can measure the number of reps I do in the gym. When I clear resistance, I can see the new actions I am taking.
Measuring emotional progress can be much harder. That is why lots of tappers use the subjective units of distress (SUD) scale. For some this is the perfect solution, but for others it doesn't feel natural to assign a number value to an emotion.
In the August question and answer podcast I talked about the different ways that we can measure progress with and without using the SUD scale. Today I have for you the transcript of that part of the podcast.
You will learn how I approach the SUD scale, what to do when numbers don't work for you, and how to judge success when there is no clear way to measure it.

I hope you have a great Monday,
