The second most common question that I receive, right after "What are the tapping phrases for [insert issue]?", is "Do I have to say the phrases out loud when I am tapping?"

Like most questions when it comes to tapping, the answer is: "It depends."

There are some good reasons for saying phrases out loud, but at the same time, it isn't a requirement.
