Good morning,
I have a great life. It's far from perfect, but it is great.
Not a good life, but a GREAT life!
Even with my life going as well as it is, I set aside some time in the last few weeks to look at what I would like to do differently in the year ahead.
You will notice I wasn't looking at what went wrong, but at what could be done differently. I find this the most productive way to look at my life.
I looked at my relationships, my work, my health, and my spiritual life. None of the changes that I want to make is too surprising. Most of them are small tweaks to what I am already doing.
In hindsight one change was obvious, but the realization in the moment shocked me a little.
What do I want to change? My self-talk when I look in the mirror.
That sounds silly, but it’s true. I am really hard on myself when I look in the mirror because I am far from satisfied with my current physical fitness. I judge myself harshly for it AND my subconscious believes that others are judging me just as harshly.
To make the change I knew I needed to restart an old habit. In the past I have taken time each morning to tap for an appreciation of my body. Appreciating its strengths, how much it does for me, and how it allows me to move through the world.
I found that tapping in this way put me in a better mood generally AND meant that I felt better physically.
This week I have for you the tapping I have been doing to start my day to help me to love my body more.
I have included both an audio and a text version of the tapping script that you can tap along to.

I hope you have a great Thursday,

PS: Did you create a New Year's resolution that you have already given up on? There is a reason that New Year's resolutions don't work and there is an easy way to create the change you want in the year ahead. Full details here: http://tappingqanda.com/?p=12168
