Good morning,
Wednesday I was so frustrated in my pilates class that I almost unleashed a string of curse words at my instructor. Well, maybe not directed at her, but more in general frustration at what was going on.
A little background would be helpful...
A few weeks ago I started a 10-week challenge at my local pilates studio. Each week I am doing two classes and one private lesson.
I hadn't been to the studio since November so I thought the program would be the perfect way to get back in the groove.
And it has been!
I have been loving it. The workouts are great. My instructors are awesome. Most importantly, I have noticed a huge difference in my body. With each successive class I have more strength, flexibility, and body control. The moment I catch myself slouching outside of class, I quickly adjust my posture.
It has been going brilliantly.
Until Wednesday.
It was as if I was starting from scratch. Every movement seemed too challenging. I would ask my body to move in a certain way and it would do nothing. As if it had a mind of its own.
I found myself getting more and more frustrated. My body tensed up in response. My mind was so clouded by the frustration that I wasn't able to understand the simple instructions I was given.
I am not someone who is easily frustrated.
I just wanted to scream dirty words. (And usually I am not one to curse either.)
The exact same can happen with our tapping. We are moving right along. We are making progress. We are feeling great...
...and then we slam into a brick wall. All progress stops! We are frustrated, disappointed, and sometimes angry.
This week I have a tap-along audio and tapping script that you can use when you hit a brick wall with your tapping. (It was recorded right when I got home from pilates to clear my frustration.)
If we let frustration at our lack of progress get in our way, our tapping it won't be as effective and we may not take any action at all.

I’d love to hear about your experience with this tapping.
Have frustration-free day!
Gene
PS: Remember, if you have the Tapping Q&A App on your smartphone you have access to audios like this one AND a text version of the scripts. In just a few seconds you can be tapping away your frustration or any number of other issues. Download the free app here: Apple App | Google/Android App
