click display imagesGood morning,

When I have the same conversation with three clients in the same day, I know I have bumped into a really prevalent issue. This is what happened earlier this week...

My clients all told me about something that happened in the last week when their emotions got the better of them. I then asked each one, "Did you tap on the emotions in the moment?" In all three cases there was a long pause followed by a sheepish "no".

I could hear the shame over the phone line! They knew there was an easier way. They knew they had the tools at their fingertips that would make them feel better, but they didn’t use them. And then they felt embarrassed because I caught them making a mistake.

To be clear, I wasn't asking that question to shame my clients. I was simply trying to understand what had happened so I could be more helpful.

Just because we know what we are supposed to do doesn't mean that we will do it.

When we learn a new tool we don't always remember to reach for it. AND even when something is old hat, it doesn't mean we will be perfect.

Despite knowing this, we are still very prone to beating ourselves up for not making the right choice. (And I use the word "we" because I do this too!)

There are two major outcomes from this type of reaction. First, we end up feeling worse because we are beating ourselves up for not being perfect. Second, we are much less likely to want to look backwards to see how we could do better next time if we are going to find mistakes in our past.

This week I have a powerful tap-along audio and printable script for you to help you to be easier with yourself when you are not perfect. This is NOT tapping that will make you accept being mediocre, but instead it will help you to put the past in its proper context.

This will help you to be better in the future, not just beat yourself up for the past.

I challenge you to start your day with this tapping for the next five days. You will find that you move into your day with much more ease AND you will make better choices.

Treat yourself better and tap along here: http://tappingqanda.com/?p=12824

I have been doing this myself for the last few days and it has made a huge difference to my productivity!
