Tapping for the past memories is only half the job

Good morning,

Last Monday I was working with a client called Cathy. As we were tapping, we quickly realized that the emotions she initially thought she wanted to tap for were the wrong ones.

That needs a little explanation…

We were tapping for an issue from her childhood that was more than 30 years old and then she said something really interesting. She said "I have all this anger right now, but I have no idea where it is coming from. I wasn't angry then. In fact I have never been angry about it. I don't understand what is going on!?"

The reality is that there are two types of emotions that we need to tap on when we are tapping for the past. There are the emotions from the past and there are also the emotions we know we feel about the past.

If you are only tapping for the emotions you experienced in the past, then you will miss half the work that needs to be done. This means the issue is unresolved and, what is worse, it is still impacting you in the present.

This week I have a simple process for you that will help you to clear both types of emotion. By doing this you will experience the full capacity of healing.
