Good morning,
Desire is tricky.
On one hand, our desires fuel our motivation to strive for better. When we name our goals, the desire we feel to achieve them becomes the spur to action.
On the other hand, we are told over and over again that "we are the lucky ones". That "we don't know how good we have it". That we "shouldn't be greedy". Desire becomes a burden.
Having these two thoughts competing in our heads simultaneously can be rough. Part of us wants something better than we already have AND at the very same time we beat ourselves up for being greedy and selfish.
We may also feel emotional pain when our sense of self-worth becomes tied up with our unfulfilled desires.
This week I have a tap-along audio and tapping script for creating a healthy relationship with desire. It will help you to progress to feeling able to want more without feeling bad about that desire. It will also help you to recognize what you do have without feeling like a failure for not achieving the opportunities, experiences, or things to which you aspire.
