In last week's podcast I talked about why can be useful for us to swear when we are tapping.

After publishing the podcast I was talking to one of my clients, "Jim", who hadn't yet listened to it, so I shared the information with him.

Jim appreciated the fact that swearing can be a useful tool when tapping, but he said, "I feel bad that I need to swear at all. Not that I have a problem with swear words, but I hate the fact that all of this has made me so angry. I feel like I'm not evolved emotionally because I am feeling this way. I wish this issue could just have rolled off my back, instead of making me so angry."

I totally get this.

Anger is such a primitive emotion AND for those of us who are constantly working on our emotional IQ, we feel that anger should be beneath us. Our expectation is that all of the hours of tapping we’ve done means that we should be able to handle our problems without overreacting or experiencing extremes of emotion.

The truth is that feeling anger is not a failing.

Anger is a natural and healthy human emotion.

If you don't allow yourself to feel anger, it will build up and cause problems later.

This week I’m sharing a tap-along audio and a tapping script to help you feel safe and more comfortable when feeling anger (or any other emotion that you are ashamed of).

I hope you have a great day,

Gene
