Good morning,
One of my favorite television programs is The Great British Bake Off (known as The Great British Baking Show here in the US)!
It is like most competition reality shows where the contestants perform some kind of task (in this case baking) and each week someone wins and someone is sent home, until there is an ultimate champion.
It is unlike most competition reality shows insofar as:
- It is filmed in a tent in the middle of a field full of sheep
- All of the contestants are amateurs
- The contestants like and root for each other
It is perfect and gentle. I love it!
Every week the contestants must tackle three types of bakes. The second bake is the "technical challenge". In this round the bakers are given a recipe (or part of a recipe) that they don't know and have to execute it.
If they don't do everything in the exact right order, then the bake will flop.
Most of the time, when we are doing tasks it is NOT like baking. We don't have to do everything in the exact right order. Yes, there is probably a sense in which order everything needs to be done, but it is not as precise as in baking.
Often times our subconscious mind doesn't know this. It is worried that if we do tasks out of order, the result will be poor OR we will have to go back and do them again.
That's why we don't take action when we're overly worried about doing tasks in precisely the correct order. Because (like we talked about last week) if we don't take any action, our subconscious mind thinks we can't screw it up.
This week in part 5 of the 7-part Productivity Series we tap so that we can take action even when we don't know the exact right order for our tasks.
As usual, I have included both a tap-along audio and a printable tapping script.
Clear away the worry here: http://tappingqanda.com/324
Let me know how it goes,
Gene
PS: Over the last few weeks I have made a number of appearances on other podcasts. You can listening to me talking about tapping, how I run my business, and my spiritual journey.
