Good morning,
I am sure you have figured out that I have a great deal of confidence when it comes to talking about, writing about, or teaching the best ways to use tapping.
(At least you would hope that I am confident after writing and recording on this topic for 11 years!)
When I am talking about or working in my expertise, I am totally at peace. Over the years I've been asked loads of questions to which I didn't know the answer, but because of my experience I am comfortable saying what I don't know.
But when it comes to doing something new, the opposite is true for me. I don't want to do something wrong, I don't want to waste my time in having to unpick mistakes, and I don't want others to know I am new to something.
For example, I can remember taking an improv class a few years ago along with 16 other participants. My goal was simply to not be the worst person in class.
When we are worried either consciously or subconsciously that we are going to fail it becomes extremely difficult to take action. AND that makes perfect sense. If our system can prevent us from making an error, it will do exactly that. The easiest way avoid making an error is not to take any action at all.
This week I have for you Part 3 in my 7-part series on helping you to be more productive. This week we're going to tap for the fears that arise when we are doing something new or unfamiliar where we lack expertise.
I have included both a tap-along audio and a tapping script that you can print out.
Fight the fear by tapping along here: http://tappingqanda.com/322
Let me know (simply by replying to this email) how this one resonates with you.
Blessings,
Gene
